Can I submit information about my private medical or dental practice?


Yes! Private medical practices qualify as alumni-owned businesses and can be included.




I work for a company that is interested in providing an alumni benefit or discount.  Can I submit the business information for inclusion in this directory?


The businesses in the directory must be owned or founded by an NYU Alumnus/a. If you work for a company that is interested in providing a benefit or discount to the NYU alumni community, please email alumni.benefits@nyu.edu.




Is there a cost for inclusion in the NYU Alumni-Owned Business Directory?


No. This directory was created as an exclusive NYU alumni benefit, and alumni business owners are encouraged to submit their company’s information to the directory for free.




I just submitted my business information through the form on this site.  Now what?


Thank you for your submission, we are so excited to learn more about your business. Please allow 5-10 business days for your submission to be reviewed and added to the online directory. If our team has any questions during the review process or needs additional information, we will reach out to you directly with the contact information included in your form submission.




Can my business also be featured on the NYUAA website or in email communications?


If you are interested in offering a long-term benefit or discount to the alumni community, please email the alumni benefit team at alumni.benefits@nyu.edu.




Is my business required to offer an alumni discount or benefit in order to be included in the directory?


No. We are happy to share your business information with or without a discount or promo code. If your business is already in the directory and you would like to add a discount or benefit, please email alumni.benefits@nyu.edu to have your listing updated.




If my business sells custom items on Etsy, Poshmark, or other similar selling platforms, can it be included in the directory?


We are unable to create directory listings for small businesses that sell on third-party e-commerce sites, however we are happy to include your business information if individuals can make purchases directly from your website.




Are there any types of businesses that are not eligible for inclusion in the directory?


During the review of your submission the alumni benefits team will use an internal vetting process to determine if the goods or services provided by the business are appropriate for inclusion. If we are unable to list your company information in the directory, we will reach out to you directly.




Can you provide the contact information for an alumni business owner in the directory?


We do not share the contact or personal information of any NYU alumni. If you are attempting to contact a business that is included in this directory, please visit the individual website linked to their directory listing.




I want to hire NYU talent, how can I post my open roles?


We are delighted that you are considering hiring NYU students and alumni. You may post your immediate hire internship and full-time positions on Handshake, NYU Wasserman's free online career portal used by undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni (excluding MBA/Law/Dental). Please note that it takes 2-3 business days to approve new employers and new job postings. Additionally, maximize a mobile experience - update your job postings, view applicants, and more all while on the go using Handshake's responsive design.
